About us

SmartFigure is a free collection of financial calculators made for people in India. Our goal is simple: help you understand the numbers behind everyday money decisions, such as how much a SIP could grow to, what a loan will really cost or how much a fixed deposit will pay, without sign-ups, sales calls or jargon.

How we build our calculators

• Standard formulas. Each calculator uses the method followed by Indian banks, mutual fund houses and the post office, and every page explains the formula it uses.
• Tested results. Our calculation code is covered by automated tests that check results against published reference values.
• Official sources. Government-set rates, such as the PPF interest rate, come from the Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India, and we review them every quarter.
• Private by design. Calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not ask for, or store, your personal or financial details.

What we are not

SmartFigure is not a bank, broker or registered investment adviser, and we do not sell financial products. Our calculators give estimates for education and planning. How we are funded

The site is free to use and is supported by advertising and, on some pages, referral links to financial services. These links are clearly marked, and they never change the results of any calculator.
